Parking enforcement for public safety agencies

Parking tickets, written and paid without the paperwork.

CitationLogic is an electronic parking citation system for police departments and municipalities. Officers issue tickets in the field, registered owners are looked up automatically, and the public pays online. Your data is protected to the standard your agency is audited against.

The program

Everything a parking ticket touches, in one system.

From the officer at the curb to the clerk closing out the day, CitationLogic replaces the ticket book, the data entry, and the stack of mailed checks.

In the field

Issue tickets in seconds

Officers enter the plate, pick the violation, and issue. Violation codes and fines come from your local ordinance, so nobody has to look them up.

  • Your agency's violation list and fine schedule built in
  • Required fields checked before the ticket is issued
  • Runs in the browser on the patrol computer, with nothing to install
For the public

Online fine payments

Drivers pay by card or Cash App Pay from their phone. Payments are processed by Stripe and post to the ticket automatically.

  • Card numbers never touch agency or CitationLogic systems
  • A flat convenience fee paid by the driver, not the agency
  • Fewer checks to open, log, and deposit

Registered owner lookup

Owner information comes back from New York State DMV records with the plate, ready for notices on unpaid tickets.

Search and history

Find any ticket by plate, ticket number, date, or officer, and see whether it has been paid.

Clerk reports

Payments received, outstanding balances, and tickets by officer or location, ready for the board or the auditor.

Security

Built for the audit, not just the demo.

Owner lookups use DMV data that has to be protected. CitationLogic is built around the FBI CJIS Security Policy, and each agency's records are walled off from every other agency's.

  • Encryption
A separate encryption key for every agencyRecords are encrypted at rest with your agency's own key, and in transit over FIPS-compliant connections.
  • Sign-in
Individual logins with multi-factor authenticationNo shared accounts. Each user has their own login, and access can be removed the same day.
  • Audit
A record of who looked at what, and whenEvery lookup and change is logged per user, so your agency has what it needs for its CJIS audit.
  • Hosting
Amazon Web Services, U.S. data centersOfficer data goes straight to the secure back end, never through the public website. There are no servers for your agency to buy, patch, or back up.
